Photoshop’s interface is easy to learn and use, and it offers a wide array of tools and menu items to adjust and manipulate images.

The main work area is the document window. Many of the commands and tools are found in this area. The tools are displayed at the bottom, and depending on your work, some features may be hidden by default.

The Edit menu contains quick menu selections as well as more detailed sections for advanced users.

All tools and menu selections are accessible with keyboard shortcuts: Command + number.

Photoshop has two modes for editing — Edit and Expert. Edit mode is used for basic image editing, and Expert mode is for the more experienced user. The Expert mode includes more tools and shortcuts than the Edit mode.

Many new users will find that the shortcut menu offers many tools that are valuable to have on hand. You can choose to automatically open the shortcut menu if you hover over an object, or you can add the shortcut menu to the menu bar.

Adobe makes Photoshop’s interface and menu options as intuitive as possible. This makes Photoshop particularly attractive to the beginner who’s just getting started. However, if you’re an advanced user, there are many important features that are not well-designed for use.

Advanced Photoshop Features

Adobe Photoshop is renowned for its power and ease-of-use. Photoshop is easy to learn because it’s designed for a beginner. The learning curve for Photoshop, though, is that it’s not well-designed for an advanced user.

Once you’re a moderate-to-advanced user, you’ll find that the interface and menu structure of Photoshop are not as intuitive or easy to use as the programs it is based on, like GIMP or Lightroom.

The most valuable feature in Photoshop is the 3-Dimensional (3D) Viewer, which lets you view and manipulate 3D objects. The interface is similar to Lightroom and GIMP. The 3D viewer appears on the top left side of the screen.

The 3D viewer also offers some editing capabilities like rotation and scale.

It is possible to do basic edits in the 3D viewer, but the editing features are not quite as robust as the regular editing tools.

How to use and navigate the User Interface

With all the features that Photoshop Elements has, you may find a lot to learn.

Here is a quick overview of how the UI elements work in Elements.

1. Folders

The top of the window, covered by a folder icon, contains the following folders: Elements, Lightroom, Camera, Develop, Print and Information.

2. File Menu

The File menu contains the following: Edit, Edit > Edit options, Print, Select All, File > Close, Open, Open in, Open as, Open with, Save, Save As, Save Document, Import, Export, Convert to Smart Object, Adjustments, Create.

3. File Menu

As you can see, elements of a file are in the Open dialog box. To minimize the number of elements on your display, you can adjust the View mode of the display to be Tiny.

Automatically run scikit-learn

I have a project consisting of several python scripts, which are all dependent on scikit-learn. Now I want to automate my project. I want to use the following strategy:

List all the files and directories in my project.
Run scikit-learn separately (without any input) using the python script for each of the files and directories.

I don’t want to do this manually, but it seems to be tricky. Maybe I can use if __name__ == ‘__main__’: to only run the main script (which contains all the python files and is named __main__.py)? Do I have to import all the python files and classes in the __main__.py file, or do they already contain this import?

If you want to import all the classes in your python script, you just need to import them directly in the first line, and the script will run automatically.

However, if you just want to run the code, you can simply run the python script directly, or using the python3 executable.

You can also make a Python script executable using chmod +x script.py, and then you can run the Python script directly,
