## 1. Crop the Photo
Open the photo you want to use in Photoshop, and then make the following adjustments:
* Crop to the desired size (see Figure 1-1). If you want to crop a photo with an aspect ratio other than that of a 4 x 3 photo, then go to Image, Resize and make the settings you need. If you don’t make these adjustments, you may end up with a photo that is stretched or squared.
Figure 1-1: The backside of the actual shot. This is a good time to think ahead and see if you have any other shots available to use.
* You may want to sharpen the photo in order to make it look crisp (see Figure 1-2). This is the default setting in Photoshop, but if your photo isn’t crisp, click the Sharpen button (the top button in the Layers panel).
* You can use the Adjust Color dialog box to make the image look nicer by selecting the paintbrush type. Then, make any necessary adjustments to the color in the image (Figure 1-3). Be careful not to have the image look too dark or too light as that can create banding, which is a lot like damage of an area of the image that looks jagged or bumpy.
* You can use the Adjust Lighting and Lighting Effects options to lighten or darken a photo. The Adjust Lighting/Lights button is the second button from the top on the Layers panel, while the Adjust Lighting Effects buttons is the second button from the left (Figure 1-4). Note that if you use the Curves tool, you can apply the changes right from the Histogram window.

* You can use a third-party photo editor like Photoshop Elements if you would prefer to use a program other than Photoshop for the shoot. The steps here work the same, although you may need to get an option to crop, rotate, and straighten images a bit differently.
* In the background of the file, you may have
Which Photoshop elements are included in CS5?
The most recent version of Photoshop Elements is 11.0.1.7.
With version 12, the functionalities of Photoshop Elements can be integrated fully into the Adobe suite and Photoshop is no longer required.
Features of Photoshop Elements
Most photoshop products come with a complimentary license to the software, but in this case, Photoshop Elements is a standalone application with no need to have Photoshop.
Below are the features that Photoshop Elements has.
Basic Editing
Resize Image
Rotate Image
Levels
Brightness & Contrast
Hue/Saturation
Similar to traditional Photoshop, you can edit your images with the following features
Add / Delete / Modify layers
Load images from the local system or any online or cloud host
Apply image adjustments directly to the selected layer
Save images as images or PDF files
There are no filters.
Resize Image
Rotate Image
In the Resize Image feature, you can change the size of an image and crop the image to a specific resolution. This feature is quite useful when you want to resize photos on your computers using the included file manager, but you don’t want the image to be distorted.
Rotate Image
In the Rotate Image feature, you can adjust the image rotation angle. This feature allows you to photograph other angles when you do photography, especially landscape photography.
Pixels
You can make adjustments to the image’s pixel size and then use them to reduce the file size.
Adjustment Layers
You can make adjustments to the entire image or to any specific layer and then save the image as a JPEG, TIFF, or PNG file, or as an Adobe RGB (.ABR) file.
Video Editing
You can convert videos to the following formats.
Convert Videos to MP4/MOV (WMV files only)
Convert Videos to MOV (H.264 video only)
Convert Videos to WebM (VP8/VP9 only)
Convert Videos to WebM (Ogg/Vorbis only)
These formats are enough for most video editors. For a very short clip that needs to be transferred in a very short period of time, you can use QuickTime (.mov) format.
Note: You can

Human-animal relationships, adoption, and rehoming from the animal shelter perspective.
Human-animal relationships are dynamic and multifaceted, and animal shelters are unique places of emotional expression and social support for people and their pets. This study explored the meaning of human-animal relationships and the adoption and rehoming decisions of shelter staff members from an animal shelter perspective. We conducted 69 semi-structured interviews with shelter staff members of varied ages and degrees of experience. Thematic analysis revealed three themes: adoption, rehoming, and prosocial behaviors. Adoption and rehoming were fundamentally different from one another but had the same function of providing care for a new or returned pet. Moreover, human-animal relationships facilitated the adoption and rehoming processes. Conversely, prosocial behaviors supported animal welfare. Policies and practices should be developed to support the adoption and rehoming processes, and decrease the adoption and rehoming numbers in order to reduce pet overpopulation.Congrats to Shivaji Maharaj on becoming the first Indian president to be elected unanimously
Yesterday, the people of India voted for the future of the country. A historic day in our nation’s history was reserved for India’s 54th president. The unanimous election of Shivaji Maharaj by the republic’s legislative assembly has taken our country’s democracy to a new level. India has certainly hit a new milestone. Voters chose a leader who is a perfect blend of statesman and visionary. He had a long experience as a diplomat during his career in the services that was indeed very useful. His crucial role in the 60s in India’s independence struggle was instrumental to the formation of our nation. His foresight in realizing the importance of technology can be seen in the way he planned for the country’s digital transformation.
He is also a great visionary and strong believer in the dynamic forces of technology. A man who has the passion to imagine the future of a country that goes to the moon in a matter of years. He truly believes in the power of technology and the need to harness it in such a way as to improve our lives and enable us to shape the future. We need leaders like him in the country. Shivaji Maharaj has been a philosopher of our nation for decades. He says,” We can change the future if we create an economy that rewards hard work and incentivizes our youth. We must lead change in India.”
Our youth. The single largest cohort of young people has now reached that
Corticotropin-releasing factor-induced locomotor activation: block by the CRF antagonist alpha-helical C-terminal CRF.
We have previously shown that the corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) mediates some of the central actions of stress hormones in the intact rat. To determine which CRF functions are present in the brain, the activity of a highly selective CRF antagonist, alpha-helical C-terminal CRF (alpha-hCT), was examined. Male rats were tested for locomotor response to s.c. injections of CRF and its C-terminal fragment, alpha-hCT. Animals were pretreated with 5 microg of the peptide or saline to elicit a response. Other rats received microinjections of CRF, alpha-hCT, and then the CRF antagonist (alpha-hCT administered first and CRF administered second) into the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM). Central administration of CRF and alpha-hCT elicited comparable increases in locomotor activity. By contrast, pretreatment with alpha-hCT attenuated the locomotor response to subsequent injection of CRF into the RVLM. The antagonistic effects of alpha-hCT may be the result of an antagonistic action at the nucleus tractus solitarius (NTS) or site(s) upstream of the NTS, an action at the locus coeruleus (LC), a combination of the two, or some effect peripheral to the central nervous system. The actions of alpha-hCT suggest that the CRF receptor associated with the locomotor response to CRF can function with both CRF and alpha-hCT.r.getType()) {
