There are some powerful features of AutoCAD that make it an excellent choice for many different types of drafting. These include features that help users draw accurate 3D and 2D drawings in addition to having the ability to create special shapes, 2D drawings, and cutting designations on sheet metal. It also has a suite of basic drafting tools for creating and editing drawing data as well as the ability to annotate documents.
Although AutoCAD has evolved over the years, the basic functionality of the application has remained the same.
How to Draw in AutoCAD
Using the software, you can quickly draw and edit 2D and 3D shapes. You can also create other types of drawings that you might not have had the ability to do in the past.
To draw a line, simply enter the X and Y coordinates of the point where you want the line to start. For example, to draw a line starting at (1,1), you would enter 1,1 into the X and Y boxes.
To draw a curved line, simply enter the X,Y and Z coordinates of the point where you want the line to start. For example, to draw a circle, you would enter:
X: 1,1, Y: 1,1, Z: 1.5
You can draw either a 2D line or a 3D line depending on whether you enter a 2D or 3D drawing command into the command bar.
In 2D drawings, you can draw lines, circles, arcs, arcs, ovals, rectangles, and polygons. 3D drawings support the drawing of cubes, cylinders, cones, 2D shapes, and non-polygonal surfaces.
To create a non-polygonal surface, draw a line across the surface you want to cut through using the Surface tool. You can also use the Surface tool to create polygons.
To edit a 2D drawing, simply enter the X and Y coordinates into the drawing window. To edit a 3D drawing, enter the coordinates for the point you want to edit into the drawing window.
Once you enter the X, Y and Z coordinates of a point, you can select it, enter editing mode, and then use the standard editing tools to modify the point.
You can use the Move tool to move a single point in any direction by clicking and dragging. To move a point to a specific coordinate
In 2016, Autodesk unveiled its Project Millenium Professional Application Framework (PMPAF) version 10.0, introducing the first addition to the desktop application since AutoCAD Product Key 2004.
The PMPAF 10.0 includes new features such as an app framework, new extensions to the architectural drawing and model design features, and a new 3D modeler. The new features are incorporated into the application via a new, modern interface that makes it easier to use.
Changes to the user interface are showcased in the video showing the new features of PMPAF.
Other features include a new Interface for Open Office, Chromium as the default web browser, major improvements to the 2D drafting/design capabilities, improved printing and networking support, and new user interface colors and icons.

What should one say to someone in a weird mood?
A friend of mine is going through a weird phase (not something that I normally do) and I haven’t quite figured out what I should say to her to cheer her up.
I’m a bit shy when it comes to talking to people, and being in this friend’s shoes, she can be quite intense sometimes and it’s hard to say something that will make her laugh.
I’ve tried trying to talk to her about my mood but she just keeps on talking about her own mood and I don’t know how to get her to stop talking.
What do you guys think about this? What do you do when you know you’re in the mood of some mood and someone wants to talk?
From my experience, the best thing you can say in the beginning of any kind of situation is:
I can empathize with you, because I, too, have been in a similar mood.
This, to me, seems to work best. The purpose is to demonstrate the empathy and understanding you have for them, but this lets them know that you have been in their position before and can relate.
You can also say:
I am feeling blue, maybe we can talk about that some other time.
This one is for situations where you think that they might be having a bad day, not just you are feeling this way.
Finally, you can say:
You know, that would probably make me feel better.
This statement is likely to work better than the rest, since it is somewhat vague and therefore easy to see if it does make them feel better.
The best way to cheer someone up is to not try to cheer them up. When you are in a down mood, you are probably going to notice that the best way to cheer yourself up is to not try to cheer someone else up.
Some people think that a “cheer” is a statement. If you can just be yourself and smile, it’s probably the best thing you can do to cheer someone up. That said, people often respond well to a little bit of forced cheerfulness.
So, if you notice you are feeling depressed, and you want to be friendly and cheerful, don’t put too much work into it. Think back to when you were a kid.

The AutoCAD team is still hard at work and recently made the highly requested AutoCAD 2013 import and editing (editing without using the AutoCAD code editor) feature available for AutoCAD 2016, 2017, and 2019.
If you’re using AutoCAD R2018, you can get the new import/edit feature from the Applications & Utilities tab under Edit Code.
You can access the import/edit dialog by choosing Edit Code from the File menu.
